Anyone who read my last post will know I am well into promoting Body Positivity and celebrating real women with real bodies. So, I was bloody delighted to get involved with Natalie at Style Me Sundays event called Warrior Woman Project sponsored by Dove and involving the wicked Tape Agency.
A brilliant gaggle of women were brought together to shed their clothes and have some photos taken in the name of Body Positivity. I have once done a nude shoot before for New Woman magazine – it was a shot from behind for an article about Bums. I remember thinking I had been booked as the big bum but actually my bum did really well when they asked various men like folk for their opinions of the 8 bottoms up for rating. Andy, Builder aged 32 from Essex I think even gave it an 8/10. Winning. A career highlight girls.
The set up on the day of the Women Warrior Project was brilliant. Bubbles were flowing courtesy of Adnams and delicious treats provided by Marks and Spencer. I got my hair did and worked it hard in front of the camera. Loving every moment.
Whilst the photos were happening upstairs they had mega amazing talks and acts downstairs with the Scummy Mummy’s keeping everyone well entertained.
I met some AMAZING and totally inspirational Mummy’s and left with a spring in my step and a goody bag on my arm. Man, I love me a goody bag. All that tissue paper and all them fun unexpected things. Like a Christmas stocking. I had actually ran out of deoderant too and it was a hot day so felt very lucky for some of that at the bottom of my bag rummage.I think the people on the tube home were thankful for that also. I felt like one lucky Mummy to be part of a movement of all shapes and sizes pushing the same fleshy wall. Thank you Natalie.
Keep it locked for more images from the shoot coming soon.
